Ready to start cooking?

Sour Dough Starter

1 pkg. dry yeast 

2 cups flour 

3T. sugar

1/2 c. warm water 

1tsp. salt

2 cups warm water 

Dissvolve yeast in 1/2 cup water, let stand for 5 minutes. Combine water, flour, salt and sugar in a bowl. Add yeast mixture and mix well. Cover loosely with a cheesecloth for 72hrs. Stir 3 times a day. 
Feed with:

1/2 cup sugar 

1 cup water 

1 cup flour           Feed this every 3 days
